In June 2026 the consortium met in Helsinki (FIN), hosted by project partner Addcomposites.
The project has reached a state, where the actual implementation of the individual processes is mostly finished and ready for demonstration. First trials have already been performed, such as welding, lay-up + quality inspection, repair and the integration of sensors for structural health monitoring. The results of these are gathered, documented and videos of the processes themselves are prepared to be presented at the review meeting at the end of the first project period. Encountered challenges have been discussed and potential solutions have been identified, to be tackled during the second half of the project. Detailed planning was done to maximize the efficiency of the interaction between partners, also keeping in mind that preparations for the final demonstration should start soon.
The meeting was very well organized by our hosts and provided a good opportunity to visit the production facilities of Addcomposites where the consortium could also observe the construction of their newest lay-up head.
